SCDM Management Hunters are a closed membership of proven hunters. They hunt for the program, not for themselves. Membership is by invitation only and is earned again every season.
The standard
Earned, not bought.
Deer management fails when hunters aren't managed. Hunter management is our specialty.
- Criminal background check.
- Hunting in Sensitive Environments course.
- Proficiency test.
- NYS license number on every arrow.
- Signed Rules and Procedures.
- Two does before a second buck.
- A minimum harvest every season to keep membership.
- Every hunt logged. Every deer not recovered reported.

Access is never guaranteed
Participation is a privilege. Hunters who don't meet the program's goals don't continue. That is why owners trust us and why our numbers hold up.
Why members pay dues
Our hunters pay for the stands, equipment, training facility, cooler and insurance the program runs on, so property owners and taxpayers don't. A hunter with skin in the game shows up. That is the difference between a crowd and a program.
Membership in SCDM is by invitation only. We do not accept applications.
